Who we are

Paprikka is operated by Bare Metal Studio Oy (Business ID 3381172-3), a Finnish company based at Lapinlahdenkatu 16, Helsinki. We run this service to curate dining experiences that bring people together in the Uusimaa region.

What data we collect

When you join our waitlist or subscribe to Paprikka, we collect:

• Contact details: Email address, name, and phone number (if you provide it)
• Referral data: If you use a referral code or share yours, we track it so we can give you rewards
• Campaign data: Where you found us (e.g., Facebook, Google), so we know what's working
• Your choices: Which group you belong to (solo, couples, family, etc.), so we can tailor your experience
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and language settings – standard web stuff

Why we collect this data

Because we need it to provide the service:

• Waitlist management: To notify you when we're ready to open spots
• Restaurant reservations: When the service launches, we'll hold table reservations for you
• Referral program: So we can give you €10 credits, extra dinners, or the Liekki badge when you invite friends
• Campaign improvement: If META ads work better than Google, we want to know
• Communication: To send you confirmations, invitations, and updates about the service

How we store your data

Your data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database via the Neon platform (EU servers). We use industry-standard security measures. We never sell your data to third parties.

Who we share data with

We only share your data when necessary:

• Vercel Analytics: Anonymized site traffic to understand how you use the site
• Email service (Resend): To send you confirmations and updates
• Payment services (Stripe/Paytrail): When you start a subscription, they process your payment securely

We don't share your contact details with restaurants without your consent.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under EU data protection law, you have the right to:

• See all your data: Request a copy of everything we have about you
• Correct errors: If your data is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it
• Request deletion: If you want out completely, we'll delete your data
• Data portability: Get your data in a machine-readable format if you want to take it elsewhere
• Object to processing: You can opt out of marketing communications anytime

How long we keep your data

We keep your waitlist data until the service launches or until you request deletion. If you become a subscriber, we keep your data for the duration of your subscription plus 12 months for tax purposes.
